Semi-Permanent
Lip Blush
This treatment is about making your lips even, creating the illusion of volume and ensuring that the colour stays put in any situation
We define the lip border and cupids bow and then add a wash of custom blended colour to the lip but without the obvious lip border that can look outdated. We blend a pigment that will be the most flattering to your skin tone and the type of shade that you prefer. We then draw the lip template, making the lips more even in shape and as full as possible.
The colour is lightly implanted using very fine needles, this is not only far more comfortable for the client but also give a modern look of a ‘tint’ rather than the outdated lipstick look of previous years. This treatment leaves the lips looking fuller, more youthful and without the need for lipstick
A tint is selected from a huge range of our fabulous lip shades, and this can be as subtle or dramatic as you desire – either blending subtly with your natural lip colour or matching your favourite cosmetic lip colour.

Digital Micropigmentation Vs Microblading
What’s the difference?
THE SIMILARITIES

• Both microblading and the machine method are forms of tattooing, where pigment is deposited into the upper dermal layer of the skin, to give a natural look that fades over 12-18 months.
• Both methods are referred to as ‘semi-permanent’ this is because some pigment may always remain in the skin, over time the effect will fade and become hard to see. Without touch-ups the results will fade dramatically after two or three years, but a tiny bit of pigment will always remain, even if that pigment isn’t visible to the naked eye.
• Microblading and digital machine methods of brow tattooing are carried out by specially trained, skilled professionals.
• Both methods require a particular set of skills to produce beautiful results. It is always more about the skill of the brow artist rather than the method of implantation, as to how stunning your result will be
• Both procedures are classified as cosmetic tattooing.
• Due to both microblading and digital machine methods having these multiple similarities, many people often don't realise there is a difference between them – nor do they know how to distinguish which method may be the right one for them.

THE DIFFERENCES

• Microblading is what it sounds like: the small, handheld tool used features a diagonal row of tiny needles, which unless you’re close, look like a small blade. This tool is used to implant pigment into the skin in fine, hair-like strokes. The digital machine method has an equally small, single needle which is attached to a long tool that looks like a pen, driven by a machine to implant pigment into the skin, also in smaller hair-like strokes.
• Microblading will require retouching more often, simply because a smaller amount of pigment is implanted into the skin as compared with the machine method. Therefore, the digital machine method could be a better choice for skin particular skin types, or those with very active lifestyles.
• Until recently, microblading tended to produce finer, more detailed strokes than the machine method, but with advances in technology (even new types of needles!) it is now possible to emulate these same superfine natural stokes with a digital machine as well, although the effect is slightly different.
• There are many skilled artists who produce beautiful results with both methods, but a huge amount of skill and expertise is required to achieve the desired outcome. Due to the surge in popularity of semi-permanent makeup, there are now cheaper, more basic training courses – meaning some artists may not potentially have the level of skill or experience to perform these procedures to give ideal results.

SO WHICH METHOD IS RIGHT FOR ME?
As you may benefit from having one method over the other, we would always suggest booking in for a consultation with one of our specialists.
-
How long does the procedure take?Approximately 2.5 hours, this will cover the consultation and procedure.
-
How long will the tattoo last for?Deposited pigment can remain visible in the skin for several years but to keep a fresh appearance and crisp shape a yearly colour boost is recommended.
-
Will it ever need to be retouched?Yes, absolutely. A second treatment will need to be carried out 6 to 8 weeks after the initial tattoo, after this, most people come in 1-3 years for a refresh. Lighter colours fade faster so if you are blonde or your skin is oily/combined your retouches will generally be annually. The warm and light molecules of colour will fade first.
-
Will the colour change over time?Yes, with most people the colour will change over time. Generally, it will fade to a softer version.
-
Can we do the consultation before the appointment?Yes of course, we advocate a consultation before treatment commences.
-
Does it hurt?We numb the area pre procedure and during the treatment so you should feel minimal sensation. Most people describe it as pressure, tickling or a slight sting after much like a sunburn.
